Sitting amongst the rolling prairies and spacious ranches of Parker, Colorado, is a brewery very few craft beer drinkers have ever visited. Hall Brewing, which launched their first beers back in January 2013, has constructed one of the most visually impressive production facilities in the Denver-area.
The 4,000 square foot farmhouse took Founder / Brewer Aubrey Hall and his family 20 months to complete. From the outside, the wood’s natural finish, set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Rocky Mountains is a sight to behold. Built by hand from Colorado beetle-kill pine, the inside is fitted with a 20 BBL brew system, multiple fermenters, a large storage cooler and a growing collection of oak barrels.
Sadly, the Hall Farmhouse isn’t open to the public, but just a short drive away, you’ll find the Hall Tap Room. Conveniently located in downtown Parker at the intersection of Parker Rd. and Main St., the brewery has given the community a brewery they can be proud of.
In Hall’s short existence, Aubrey has grown his brewery from producing just 3 beers – Red, IPA & Stout – to crafting a whole slew of seasonals, one-offs and fun experiments, including a Barleywine, Bock, Pilsner, Saison and the popular Juicy Peach Blonde, made with Palisade Peaches!
Aubrey’s use of locally sourced ingredients (some of which he grows on his own farm) and willingness to experiment has kept interesting beers pouring on the Tap Room’s cask engine and frequent firkin tappings. With unique offerings like Pear & Ginger-infused Pils, Sour Imperial Red and Saison with lemon peel, there’s always a new beer worth stopping in to sample.
This week, Hall Brewing begins a new chapter as they enter the world of cans. With a little help from the Mobile Canning Unit, Hall has been able to can their IPA, Red and Juicy Peach Blonde, making for another solid addition to their growing portfolio.
What’s even more exciting about this endeavor is they introduction of mixed 6-packs to the market, an option not previously available to Colorado consumers. Currently mixed packs are only available in 12-packs, which can sometimes lead to a pricey investment and an abundance of beers the consumer might not really want. The new 6’er will feature 2 IPA’s, 2 Juicy Peach Blonde’s and 2 Red’s in a convenient sampler pack, perfect for camping, rafting or sipping on during a backyard BBQ.
Craft beer fans will have their first crack at the new cans during the Can Release Party at the Hall Tap Room on Wednesday, July 30th, at 4 PM. The party will feature $2 cans, a silent auction and the opportunity to purchase 6-packs to-go. Click HERE for additional details and keep an eye out for 6-packs to hit your local liquor stores soon.
Hall Brewing’s making some fun and interesting beers in a relatively sleepy corner of the Colorado craft beer map. If you’ve never tried them, you’re way overdue and if it’s been awhile, it’s time to revisit.
