The Annual Denver Beer Festivus continues to be THE Beer Festival / Ugly Sweater / Locals Celebration of the Holiday Season. This year, the event moved to the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, allowing for more room to wander, sip, and explore. The museum is chock full of historic aircraft, aviation exhibits and is even home to a replica Star Wars X-Wing. That’s right, sipping on beer, next to an X-Wing, complete with a working R2 unit was a definite highlight. I think my kids are just a little jealous of that experience (the X-Wing, not the beer).
Festivus is a fantastic way to get caught up on some of Denver’s newest breweries, while getting reacquainted with some of the standard favorites. The youngsters at Cerebral, Little Machine, Ratio, Fiction, Spangalang, Call to Arms and others are already firing on all cylinders, continually cranking out legit beers across the board. And nothing but the best from proven locals like Station 26, Former Future, TRVE, River North, Epic and Great Divide.
We love Festivus and we’ll be back year after year, gathering around the pole with our itchy, ugly sweaters, warming up with these wintry craft delights. Thanks to all of the participating breweries and the great folks at Imbibe that make it happen. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
