Weekend Beer Buzz 02/11/2016

What a crazy week. First off, congrats to the Denver Broncos! That was pretty awesome to watch and it’s been fun watching the town celebrate.

In beer news, congrats to our friends at Ratio and Declaration, who are both celebrating their 1st Anniversary all weekend long. Get out and show them some love this weekend.

La Cumbre officially hit, Melvin’s still thankfully popping up and Pliny the Younger’s only a week away. Check out our Pliny Calendar HERE and bookmark that mother to stay in the loop on tapping info.

Oh, and we brewed a special beer last week with some of our friends in the local beer media. Look for our Belgian Chocolate Stout, brewed with Lost Highway, to be pouring at Collaboration Fest.

Thursday, February 11th, 2016

On Thursday, Station 26 will tap Ginger and Tea Copper. They’ll be joined by Crepeful. Station 26 Brewing Co. is located at: 7045 E 38th Ave, Denver, CO 80207.

Freshcraft will tap some awesome Melvin kegs on Thursday at 7 PM. Look for – 2×4 DIPA, Melvin IPA, Clinic ISA, and Dreddy Copper. Melvin’s nailing it and we’re pumped to see these guys hitting the local scene. Learn more about the beers HERE. Get some.

Friday, February 12th, 2016

Congrats to our friends at Ratio as they celebrate their 1st Anniversary all weekend long. Kick it off on Friday, with a dual bottle release of Barrel Aged One Great City!, a Belgian Quad. Look for a special batch that spent 9 months aging in Rum Barrels, along with this year’s batch, straight up. Rum BA is $10 / 375mL, regular is $7 / 375mL. Grab both bottles, plus a 10oz. pour on draft for just $20.

Also on Friday, they’ll tap a special anniversary firkin and will feature a food truck and live comedy.

Come back on Saturday when they tap their Anniversary Beer, a Lemon Zest Belgian Tripel. Look for other fun tappings, including a keg of Wild in the Streets, a Barrel-Aged Wild Saison. Hang out and enjoy live music, food trucks, raffles and giveaways throughout the day.

The party continues on Sunday, with a progressive beer and cider dinner, featuring the combined efforts of Ratio, Epic and Rackhouse Pub. Details and tickets HERE.

Declaration’s also celebrating their 1st Anniversary over the weekend. Warm things up at Fiery Friday, featuring special tappings, live music and Pile High Burgers.

Come back for Sweet Saturday with more special beer releases, live music, burlesque dancers at 9 PM (21+) and local food trucks.

Wrap it up on Sour Sunday for new brew releases, the season premier of The Walking Dead at 7 PM, followed by live comedy at 8 PM. Congrats Declaration Brewing! Stop by and raise a pint with them this weekend. They’re located at: 2030 S Cherokee St, Denver, CO.

This Friday, Dry Dock will tap Ladies Man Stout. Tapping set for 3 PM. Dry Dock Brewing is located at: 15120 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO 80014. 303-400-5606.

Cerebral Brewing will release their Table Brett Beer – Invisible Hand on Friday at 4 PM. After conditioning for more than 2 months, the batch was split and dry-hopped with two of the brewery’s favorite hops. On Friday, you’ll be able to try one batch made with Amarillo and another with Hallertau Blanc. Cerebral Brewing is located at: 1477 Monroe St, Denver, CO.

Saturday, February 13th, 2016

Copper Kettle will release a limited variant of their Charlie’s Golden Strong, aged in Laws Whisky Barrels. Don’t miss this one and stick around to try it on tap too. Copper Kettle Brewing is located at: 1338 S Valentia St #101, Denver, CO 80247.

There’s a magical firkin tapping set for Dry Dock – North on Saturday at Noon. Come up for Bourbon Oaked Vanilla Cherry Stout. While you’re there, be sure to pick up a Crowler fill for the road. The Canoe Room at North Dock is located at: 2801 Tower Rd, Aurora, CO 80011.

Melvin Brewing will hit the tap lines at World of Beer – Cherry Creek on Saturday at Noon. Look for 2×4 DIPA, Melvin IPA, Shaolin, Clinic ISA, Dreddy Copper and Hubert Melvin Pale Ale. Tappings begin at Noon. World of Beer – Cherry Creek is located at: 660 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO.

  • Peanut Butter Porter Bottle Release, Liquid Mechanics Brewing, Lafayette, CO, Noon

Liquid Mechanics will release bottles of their 2016 batch of Peanut Butter Porter. Limit of 4 / person. Come grab your haul of this delicious brew. Liquid Mechanics Brewing is located at: 297 N Hwy 287, Suite 100, Lafayette, CO.

Lucky Pie will host Beerds & Barrels on Saturday night. Enjoy some of your favorite barrel aged brews from Almanac, Crazy Mountain and Telluride. Proper Barbershop will offer up free beard trimmings while you get ready for the beard competition at 9 PM. Sunday, February 14th, 2016

Station 26 will host their monthly Bluegrass Brunch on Sunday. Come on by for live music from Cosmic Mesa, Donuts from Glazed & Confused, BBQ from Rolling Smoke and plenty of awesome, cold brews. 11 AM start. Station 26 Brewing Co. is located at: 7045 E 38th Ave, Denver, CO 80207.

Avery Brewing will release No. 33 in their Barrel-Aged Series on Sunday. Lunctis Viribus is a 5.4% ABV Sour Ale with 50% aged in Tequila Barrels and Cabernet Sauvignon Barrels.

  • Ecliptic Hypernova Triple IPA.
  • Big Sky BA Ivan the Terrible. Turrible, turrible, turrible.
  • 2016 Stone Old Guardian Dry-Hopped with Pekko Hops should hit soon.
  • Boulevard Smokestack Series Imperial Stout with Coconut should also hit soon.
  • Green Flash Cellar 3 Natura Morta Cherry, the next in the series, is now upon us.
