UPDATE: Starfire and Starfighter Release Postponed until May 29th. Gambit, The Brewtography Exclusive, is still set to be released on May 22nd.

Black Project’s got two new ones ready to release on Sunday. Actually, three new brews. Read on for the full scoop.

STARFIRE – Citrus Zest Table Sour – Balanced, tart, citrusy, and refreshing. This beer was made with our lower-gravity “Paradise” base. Zest from lemons, limes, and a small amount of grapefruit were added. This one is going to be great for that nice weather that should be coming to Denver any day now. The taste is thirst-quenching, and yet there is good complexity as the beer warms. The aroma is straight citrus – lemonade. Very light straw-colored, high carbonation and a bright white head that diminishes almost immediately, due to the oils in all of the zest. This will be a favorite. $20 (this price includes all taxes). 750mL. Cork and Cage.

STARFIGHTER – Similar to how EJECTOR was made, this is a double-whammy version of STARFIRE. On top of all of the citrus zest that was in STARFIRE, we added a double-dose of lemon and lime zest, orange peel, and a light Cascade dry-hop. The result is a beer that is incredibly citrus-dank redonkulous deliciousness. You need this beer in your life, I’ll just leave it at that. $24 (this price includes all taxes). 750mL. Cork and Cage.

GAMBIT – GAMBIT is actually made using an entirely different (and previously unreleased) base beer that I would describe as a red or amber base. Almost Flanders-red style, but without acetic acid (vinegar flavor sometimes present in those beers). I added a moderate amount of ruby red grapefruit zest to the beer just prior to packaging. The result is incredible, in my opinion. The flavors are complex, the acidity of the beer balances well with the grapefruit flavors. The aroma is positively candy-like, it is really great. The base of this beer gives it a bit more complexity than STARFIRE and STARFIGHTER, due to the darker malts and higher gravity.

Only 100 of these bottles will be sold, in only 50 packages. Each bottle will be individually numbered and I will hand-sign each and every bottle. Half of the gross revenue from these packages will be donated by Black Project to the Brewtography Project Kickstarter.

The full package includes:
2 bottles of GAMBIT
Black Project 6-Bottle Tote Bag
Black Project Sticker Pack
8×10″ Black Project Photo Print signed by Dustin Hall, photographer and founder of The Brewtography Project

The whole package will be $65 total. If you really want a package, you should probably line up a bit early for the release.

Check out the Official Event Page for additional info. Black Project is located at: 1290 S Broadway, Denver, CO.

Ratio Beerworks will host a 4-course beer and cheese pairing on Sunday afternoon. They’ll be joined by A Cheese Peddler who will explain why and how to pair beer with cheese. Tickets are $16 and walk ups are welcome. Details HERE. Ratio Beerworks is located at: 2920 Larimer St, Denver, CO.
