Big Beers, Belgians & Barleywine Festival Calendar

While there are plenty of food pairings, seminars and other fun things to expand your beer mind at this weekend’s Big Beers, Belgians & Barleywines Festival in Breckenridge (complete list HERE), there are some really great off-site events that should be on your radar too.

Here’s the scoop.

Thursday, January 5th, 2017

Head to the original Breckenridge Brewery & Pub on Thursday to meet the brewers, tour the facility and sample some of their limited offerings, including Sours, Saisons and Barrel-Aged brews.

Breckenridge Brew Pub is located at: 600 S Main St, Breckenridge CO.

Friday, January 6th, 2017

Basecamp Wine and Spirits will release a special batch of Casey’s Oak Theory on Friday at Noon. This batch was aged in a AD Laws Whiskey and Rye Barrel. Bottle release is at Noon, followed by a tasting with Troy Casey from 2 – 4 PM. Basecamp Wine and Spirits is located at: 223 Lusher Ct, Unit 1, Frisco, CO.

Two of our favorite breweries will join forces on Friday night. No cover, but pay as you go. Casey tappings include: The Cut: Blackberry – Unreleased Blend, Supreme Clientele – CFP with Cherries, Blackberries and Raspberries, The Cut: Peach – Glowhaven, Dry Hop Peach Casey Family Preserve, Santa Rosa Plum Casey Family Preserve – Unreleased Blend.

We’ll update the Melvin tappings if they announce ahead of time. No cover, but pay as you go. This is part of a double event, read on for more. Live music begins at 8 PM.

Kenosha Steakhouse is located at: 301 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO.

Elite will bring some of their finest to Kenosha Steakhouse on Friday night. Look for limited releases from breweries like The Lost Abbey, Destihl, Wicked Weed, Ballast Point, Green Flash and others. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s 2 incredible events at Kenosha Steakhouse on Friday night. They don’t take reservations, so don’t forget your frisbee. Kenosha Steakhouse is located at: 301 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO.

Great Divide will take over the taps at Après on Friday for a charity tap takeover to benefit Colorado kids. They’ll have some special barrel-aged offerings, along with Espresso Oak Aged Yeti, Hercules, Laws Whiskey Yeti and more. Après Handcrafted Libations is located at: 130 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO.

No cover, pay as you go. Enjoy live music from the Nuns of Brixton, while Ska offers up specials on Modus, True Blonde & Euphoria.

 Saturday, January 7th, 2017

  • Crooked Stave Artisans Tap Takeover, Kenosha Steakhouse, Breckenridge, CO

Crooked Stave Artisans will take over the taps at Kenosha on Saturday. The lineup is nuts, with amazing beers from Perennial, Fremont, Breakside, Prairie, Melvin, Crooked Stave and more. Here’s the lineup.

Après Handcrafted Libations will host Brewed Food for the official Big Beers After Party on Saturday night. Head over to enjoy 3 unique flights paired with a custom dish from Brewed Food Chef Jensen Cummings. Sunday, January 8th, 2017

Gold Pan Bar will host some of our favorite breweries for a 4-course brunch on Sunday morning. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased HERE.

Big Beers is one of our favorite events of the year. We’re excited for the new venue and all the fun that lies ahead this weekend. Don’t forget to stop into the surrounding local breweries like Broken Compass, Bakers’, Backcountry and others to show your support. We’ll see you there!
